Kellie Martin is the American actress and film director most well-known for her role as Christy Huddleston in the period drama "Christy", Rebecca Thatcher on the drama about families Life Goes On> and Lucy Knight for the medical drama ER. Her other notable roles include being the main character in the "Hailey Dean Mystery" series. Martin was born to a department store buyer as well as the kindergarten teacher. She began acting as a child at the age of seven. her aunt, who was an nanny for Michael Landon's household, assisted Martin find a role as in the television show Father Murphy. After graduating of Yale University she began to pursue acting with a seriousness, landing roles on both the small and large screen. Martin, in addition to being a skilled actor and dancer, she is also an accomplished ballet photographer. Her sister, who died from Lupus at age 19, led her to becoming the Lupus national spokesperson.
