Sadie Amara Calvano was born in America. She is best recognized for her character of Violet Plunkett from the CBS comedy series 'Mom.' Calvano grew up in California, and initially was interested in competitive gymnastics. But she decided later to pursue an acting career. The first time she appeared on screen was in 2010 in the CBS show 'NCIS. The big screen debut came a year later in the biographical crime-drama film "J Edgar'. Over the years she's established herself as one the most exciting actors of the current business. In 2011, she was awarded a nomination for the Young Artist Award, Best Performance by a Young Actress in a Television Series due to her performance in the show "NCIS". Her role as a special guest on Disney XD's comedy "Kickin It' was nominated again for the Young Artist Award. Calvano was part of the main cast of 'Mom' in its the first three seasons. She also appeared in several episodes of the fourth season. In 2015, she received the Gracie Allen Award of Outstanding Female Actor - Rising Star for her performance in Mom.
