Anne Burrell

Anne W. Burrell (born on 25th August 1949) is an American television chef and host. She was also an instructor at the Institute of Culinary Education. She hosts Secrets of a Restaurant Chef at the Food Network. Anne Burrell, a Food Network host sporting spiky blonde wigs and a pumped-up personality, explains how to cook restaurant-style dishes at home using simple methods. The chef Burrell is also a veteran of New York City's best restaurants. She has also learned about Italy's food traditions and its culture as well as the geography. While growing up in the upstate New York area, Chef Burrell developed a passion for food and cooking early on. The Culinary Institute of America was where she studied following her graduation with an English degree and a Communications diploma at Canisius College Buffalo NY. I enjoyed every moment that I was a student at The Culinary Institute of America she declares. The Culinary Institute of the Americas was a great opportunity to pursue a degree. Following graduation from the Italian Culinary Institute for Foreigners Chef Burrell was able to spend a whole year in Italy doing research and working at La Taverna del Lupo restaurant in Umbria as well La Bottega del 30 one Michelin star restaurant in Tuscany. The time she spent in Italy helped her to understand and appreciate the Italian philosophy and culture, and has made an impression on her food and culinary experience. Burrell was an Garden of Dreams Foundation Advisory Board participant, with the goal of to improve the lives of children facing challenges. Burrell also serves as a Juvenile Disease Research Foundation (JDRF) celebrity spokesperson and promotes awareness about the dangers of childhood diabetes. She frequently travels around the United States in her position as a mentor as well as a public speaker in which she speaks about her work and passion for cooking. Through her culinary adventures, Anne has always said I feel very fortunate to share what I love most for life with people.
